How usefull are e-rewards in your opinion.

I cashed in my first $25 for Blockbuster certs. They arrived late and were for 6 subsequent weeks. I ended up only using two of the certs so they did not have anywhere near $25 worth of value to me. I am now at the point that I have enough for airline discounts. I don't fly UAL or Delta, but might for a discounted fare. Has anyone chosen the discount with UAL or DL and was it available without blackouts and for use with discounted fares? I think I might just take the Hilton points, but that would appear the worst value, yet the least restrictive of the rewards. Thanks for the help.

The hilton reward is the only one of any value. There are just too many restrictions on all of the other rewards (if you read the fine print on them.)

Agreed - - not very useful. The Hilton points are interesting, but it tkes to long to accumulate a sufficient number to get a decent rate of return, and there are easier ways to get Hilton points.

The Hertz reward is not bad. I got a $50 Hertz certificate through e-rewards. But the cert could not be used with a $25 coupon that I had, so the effective savings were $25.

I only use it for the HHonors points conversion. It may take awhile to accumulate enough e-rewards $$ for an award, but hey, it's still free.

How long did it take before your Hilton points showed up in your account?

I just hit $25.00 exactly 3 days ago (after a year with E-Rewards) and immediately cashed it in for one of the Hilton points transfer rewards

I never buy anything via MyPoints, but manage to get about 500 points per month. That's 1000 HH points per 2 months.

In a year of e-rewards, I've managed to get over $25, which is worth 1000 HH points.

Sure, MyPoints is much more effort and many more clicks, but 6000 HH points per year is rather better than 1000.

Much more effort is quite an under-statement IMO. For 1000 HH points via e-Rewards ($25), one must view 20-25 e-mail offers. For 1000 HH points via MyPoints (1000 MyPoints), one must view 150-200 e-mail offers.
