E-rewards changes
Dear Mark,
We are pleased to announce some exciting news about our newest sponsor. Due to overwhelming member preference for
travel and entertainment rewards, we've added another travel industry sponsor and reward option -- Hilton HHonors. Now,
you may redeem your e-Rewards for Hilton HHonors points, good toward free stays at more than 2,000 locations in the Hilton
family of hotels.
Separately, Compaq has elected not to continue as a rewards provider, effective July 31, 2001. Therefore, if you've been
saving for a Compaq reward, be sure and claim it immediately. Your Compaq savings certificate will be honored through the
stated expiration date (six months from date of issue). We thank Compaq for their participation as one of our launch
sponsors.
To help us plan for e-Rewards 2002, please watch for our member survey on reward preferences and reward earning opportunities.
It will be coming to you in August.
Again, thank you for your participation. I'll keep you updated on the exciting events as they happen. And be sure to keep
clicking, so you continue to earn e-Rewards. We look forward to rewarding you for your time in the coming months.
Warm regards,
Diane Walden

Received same e-mail. Would like to see e-Rewards make a few more changes. Tops on the list is e-Rewards earning opportunities. One a month just doesn't cut it. And for all the personal info the they get out of you for signing up, one would think that they could do a better job of targeting e-mails. Just my 1 mile worth, er, I mean 2 cents.

Just wait until November ... I'm sure there will be plenty of e-mails then with Christmas shopping offers

Not to be too much of a cynic, but since e-Rewards earned in 2001 expire, it may not be in their interest to have a plethora of earnings opportunities arise as the year winds down. I redeemed $100 a few months ago, and I'd be surprised (although happy) if my $7 and change balance reaches $25 by New Years.

The Hilton awards go up in value the more "money" you have. However, with the number of e-rewards offers I get, I don't see how I could ever be able to redeem them.
It's like giving you a football, telling you there's a really good prize if you kick a goal, and then putting the goal posts on the moon.
