need help with ebates problem
I recently made a large purchase through ebates - when I did not see the credit I emailed them - their reply was that I did not click through ebates so I was not entitled to the rebate.
I did click through but how do I prove it? The only thing I can think that could have caused a probem is that I clicked the back button and then forward a few times to make SURE that I was on the ebate system.
Any computer gurus who can help me?
thanks

Good luck. Their site is pretty buggy at times, so I wouldn't trust it to know what's going on.
My experience: I logged in via the special etour link, entered my info and then got bounced to the normal signup screen! Tried again, and it complained that my password was too short. The system had never said how long they can be, nor did it complain when I entered it into the etour form.
So, I went back to the special etour form and entered my information again, with a longer password. That worked, but the etour bonus never posted, so I had to get it done manually.
Another bug is that, at least under Netscape, the site usually sets cookies for etour.com and can sometimes set separate cookies for etour.com:80, and doesn't realise they are the same. Their support people just do the standard "remove all your cookies and clear your cache, there's nothing wrong with our system" drill, despite clearly never having tested their system properly.
