Mypoints seem to be easily converted to cash equivalent at a little less than 1 cent per point, so the $50 bonus is probably a better deal.
Mypoints can also be converted into airline tickets at around 30,000 points for a ticket. At that rate, they could be valued at almost 2 cents per point, but you'd have to accumulate 30,000 before you could trade them in. Considering the shaky financial health of the company, that's a risky bet.

To all who try out the Net Bank- My Points promotion be wary!! When I went in to check my new account I had been charged twice for my $50 deposit. I called customer service to try to get this straightened out. We will see how this goes. Also, look at the fees page. You have to keep the account open for 6mos or the charge for early closure is $25. In addition, if their is no activity there are fees associated with this as well. Good luck.
