DALATL: Ouch!! I would like to respond by saying welcome to FlyerTalk. Besides visiting the MyPoints site itself, you might want to browse or search the S.P.A.M. forum here. You'll find a lot of information and discussion about MyPoints which may help you understand or decide if it interests you. Not what it used to be, but still you can slowly get Hilton points or whatever for little effort.

Of course, Mileage Workshop also posts info on all of the available online programs that actually pay out promptly.

I've accumulated about 27,000 points from MyPoints, lots of those points from reading emails and clicking on icons to earn points. Granted, it's harder now than it was a year ago, but I feel it's worth the little time it takes. If I'm going to buy something, I check there first. If it's not much more than I could get elsewhere, I buy through the MyPoints site if the reward is good enough. I transfer all my points to Hilton.

yeah, i'm hoping that MyPoints sticks around! i like the HHonors points as an option, as well as Target gift certficates. they are being more conservative about distributing points, but i can't see the harm in that, basically, even though it might lose the interest of some.
plus, when i play musical long distance carriers, Sprint sometimes offers decent bonuses, and MCI really hates it when you go to Sprint, so usually i can get a good "win-back" deal.
(Totally unpaid plug: Mileage Workshop rules. You don't even have to comb the boards looking for deepest, darkest-buried deals and steals; they're packaged right there for you! cool, huh?)

I am a devoted follower of mileage workshop. i check it regularly and have been rewarded with a great variety of mile and point opportunities. I can't emphasize enough how much of a valuable resource this site has been for me (unsolicited endorsement).
