Marriott pts from MYPOINTS
Has anyone done this,it doesnt seem to be an automatic transfer. What happens mypt sends a cert and then you need to mail it to Marriott?
How long does the whole process take?

They send you a certificate (with no name in it) and then you have to mail the certificate(s) to Marriott. I don't know how long it takes, my impression is that it is not fast.

Yes, it is a paper certificate. I just did this recently, but I can't say exactly how long was the turnaround. About 2-3 weeks I would guess.

thanks I cashed out for some,to save on using DC pts(better off with the BA deal for that) looking to use a hotel beginning of Aug.

Tulane85 is right, it takes about 3 weeks. I do it every now and then in increments of 1500 mypoints.
