150 MyPoints

I haven't seen this posted before, so...

at http://www.next50.com/next50reg.asp
you can get 150 points (and a blue confirmation screen) for registering. It's an "over 50" web site, but that doesn't matter in registration.

Worked for me, too--make sure your MYPoints member key is refreshed before you do this. Also, there's no mention on the first page of this link that you will earn MyPoints, but it's there at the end.
Thanks trujvagi.

Nanook:

I'd like to snag these 150 points. What do you mean by "make sure to refresh your MyPoints membership key"? How do I do that? While I'm at the website? Before?

Thanks so much.

Thanks - Just so everyone knows, you have to complete the registration before the Mypoints banner pops up - but it is there at the end.

Go to the My Points home site http://www.mypoints.com and click on "Member Services". You will get a screen that includes "Remove/Refresh Member Key" Click on that and you will get a place to enter your member name and password.

This ensures that you get credit for the registration, so you must do it before you attempt to earn any My Points.

BTW, when you reach the My Points home screen, if it says "Welcome Captain Mike" (or whomever) in the upper left of the screen, your key is supposed to be already refreshed; if it says something like "Welcome Guest" you definitely need to
refresh your key.

Just finished, thanks.

My registration also included entry into a sweepstakes for a Mercedes or a pile of money. Did yours?

And, it also requested the e-mail addy of the friend who referred me. I used the one trujvagi lists on the "info" screen. I hope you get something for your efforts, trujvagi.

I'm new to MyPoints. How much time should pass before my account reflects the new balance? Also, for sites that MyPoints rewards 10 pts or so for visiting, do I have to do anything to earn the points after clicking on the link to visit the site?
Thanks!

Points generally post overnight for the instant point rewards. For points that take longer it usually says somewhere about how long you will have to wait. The points are yours once you get that blue screen that says "Congratulations", so you can move on right away after you see that. Good Luck.

Glad this is working for everyone! Thanks for listing me as the "friend who refered", but so far, it only looks like I get an email saying a "friend" signed up. Oh well. Thanks for the thought though!
