Exchangepath
A friend of mine experienced problem with Exchangepath. The sender withdraw the money after the money was sent to her. Has anyone else experienced similiar problems and even been able to get any assistant from Exchangepath? She told me that she is having hard time to get help from Exchangepath. No response when she email or called. Suggestions are appreciated.
Thank you

I have not used them, their big advantage over PayPal, which is similar, would seem to be that they accept AMEX.
I can add however, that Auctionwatch recently dropped them as a partner because there were so many complaints about the service.

Actually, ExchangePath no longer accepts Amex. They accept only Visa, MC, and Diners (!).
Customer service is horrible. They froze 200$ in my account (roommate paid a share of his rent) - I e-mailed them, called them (impossible to take a supervisor, half-literate reps just take a message - they do not have access to your account). Finally, I sent them an angry fax to corporate headquarters, and threatened legal action. Got my account reinstated next day - did not receive a call from them though.
In short, waited for a month for my money. I am fairly confident they will go belly up during this year. I doubt CMGI can support them any longer.

One more thing. ExchangePath Customer service number is (877)890-4885 -- insist to speak with a supervisor about this, they never call back as they promise. It would not hurt to fax the corp headquarters at (212) 471-4217 and threaten to ask payment sender to charge back the transaction to the credit card company (since they did not resolve the problem within 10 business days from initial problem communication, as the contract terms stipulate).
Good luck!

Thanks for all the imfo! Was about to use xpath but now will stay away. I found moneyzap to be good, only can send $900 per day & $2000 per month. The good thing can open 2 accts with 2 different email addresses. So far chalked up 8000 miles with them the past 2 months. I ran aground with c2it
and got the bounce after transferring $4500 with the max of 3 accounts they allowed.
Saw something at Yahoo that I thought said there was a 10,000 limit. When I reread it,I read the bad news only 1,000 max per month.
One must sure that the bank the $$ are going to doesn't charge a fee for incoming wires otherwise it doesn't pay. The good thing with c2it was you could request a check be sent.

I also had numerous problems with ExchangePath; they suspended an account with a $1000 balance for over a month. I called/faxed them virtually every day with no avail.
Fortunately, I was in New York a few weeks ago, so I went to their corporate headquarters. (622 Third Avenue, 8th Floor
New York, NY 10017) My problem was resolved on the spot, and they apologized profusely for the trouble. They said that ExchangePath experienced an extremely high amount of transactions during the holiday period, with some percentage being fraudulent. Thus, they were freezing all "suspicious" accounts. They also said that they might soon put a hold on all send transactions so that they can sort out the mess with all the accounts suspended during the holiday period.

It's all over:
Dear Member:
Effective immediately, ExchangePath is no longer available for online
transactions. This means that account holders will no longer be able to send and receive money using the ExchangePath service.
Since your ExchangePath account has a balance of zero, it will be automatically
closed on February 5, 2001.
We regret that our service is no longer available for person-to-person payments
and we sincerely thank all of our members for their support.
Sincerely,
