Redeeming e-rewards question

How long does it take to redeem United Airlines $50 or $75 off certificates with e-rewards? Thanks.

When I first joined the program, I was pleasantly surprised how quickly I got my initial award (though it was a DL, not UA award).

However, a few weeks before Christmas I redeemed for a Blockbuster award, and still have not received it, so in my limited experience, their redemption times seem a bit hit or miss.

Do you know if the reward certs for Delta, can be used as partial payment towards the purchase of a fare
using the companion cert that one gets every year for having the Delta Skymiles Platinum card? Or is it
not combinable with anything? Thanks

The Delta E Rewards certificate for r/t coach discount excludes fares booked in L or U, valid for 6 months from issue date, 48 states only, 14 days advance purchase, Saturday night stay required, 30 day maximum, non-tranferable, not combinable with other certificates, awards, vouchers and promotions including upgrades and has blackout dates.
Sure doesn't look like a great value with all those restrictions.

How do you say "Blockbuster?" That's my likely choice since they make nice gifts!
