Milage via CC Dining Programs
I have noticed that Many FF sites now offer free Dining Programs. United and AA come to mind. Has anyone tried registering CCs on BOTH sites to see if you can earn both AA and UA miles from one Meal?
Thanks.
Carlo.

As reported many times earlier on FT this will not work. Also as reported earlier (for United Mileage plus program), sometimes you are lucky if your miles even post at all.

This is now handled by iDine. It is the same program regardless of which airline you attach to your credit card, so you can't do both. What you can do, is if you have an AMEX card, they have something called offerzone, and when you register for their restaurants you get a percentage off. Occasionally there is a restaurant in both programs and I have gotten 20% from AMEX and AA miles.

You can however register different cards with different programs. If you go to one of the restaurants more than once a month, just use a different card each time.
Last night I called the AAdvantage Dining automated listing. Few of the restaurants I have been going to were listed. For instance, only three restaurants in downtown DC were listed. The 11/00 - 1/01 directory listed eight restaurants in that area. The same was true for Arlington, Virginia.
I hope that was only a glitch in the automated system. However, the system had been pretty reliable in the past.
