Well, altavista has made some changes in the amount of points you can effectively get while browsing. They still claim you can get up to 1000 a day - but I am not sure how. First, they limited the number of merchants you can visit to 10 (if you visited those that were worth 50 points you got 500 points, plus some more for site activity, whatever that means). Now the most you can get per merchant is 25 points, which in effect reduces what you can get to 250 + a bit per day!!! Don't think it is worth the effort anymore!

Actually, it's now 10 visits at 250 points per visit for 2,500 points. But if you go through their shopping departments, you get 5 points per page. Their system has been really sluggish lately (obviously some problems) but when things are running well, you can go through a lot of pages in a short time. You need 150 pages to get 750 points (plus the 200 above)...on a fast circuit I can usually do it in ten minutes or so.
