Based on my Northern California Safeway supermarkets, but probably true elsewhere as well: All gift cards normally earn 2X rewards points. Occasionally, there will be offers like the 10X points on all gift cards (as contrasted with the offer above, which is for a small subset of the GCs sold at Safeway). I frequently buy Amazon and sometimes Starbucks GCs at Safeway (occasionally others as well). These days, I mostly use the Safeway rewards for groceries, although in the past (esp. when the program was only for gas rewards and I was driving a lot more) I used them for gas discounts.

Monopoly game is returning to Vons on March 3rd this year, with online pre-registration beginning February 17th with a slightly smaller prize pool – there’s a total of $230 million up for grabs this year, down from the $250 million offered last year.

My local Vons is having a 2-day double discount for Father's Day (June 19 & 20, 2021), on some good poison. I am getting the max (12 bottles) of Jonnie Walker Black Label for $17.99+tax a bottle when buying 6 bottles minimum - great item to gift or sip, if you partake! Not to mention X4 AMEX points earning with the GOLD card.
