If Expertflyer is too expensive you may want to try AwardEx. If you do limited searches on award tickets it can be a good alternative.

Interesting, however as ExpertFlyer offers unlimited searching for $10/month, while AwardEx charges $50/mo for a still search limited "pro" version, it would seem that ExpertFlyer is still the cheaper alternative.

AwardEx also doesn't seem to have award inventory alerting, seat maps, or any of the other ExpertFlyer premium features.
