Uses for Verizon points?
I did a site-wide search but did not see anything about this.
Until I recently switched to Verizon, I had never heard of Verizon points. Now I seem to have 82000 of them.
Any decent use? Thanks.

From what I read on some sites, there a good number of people that use botting software to win the auctions so unless you click at the right second and are lucky, they are pretty much a waste of time.
Fios rewards have better options than wireless rewards.
My wife and I have 182K points according to the last time I logged into our account.

This is apparently correct. I have VZ Fios, but not wireless, and I have redeemed my points for Visa prepaid cards.

I am sitting on 100k in wireless points and I agree they are not very useful. The best use I have found for them is for a local coupon (but many of those are limited to one or two a year) and for magazines. The magazines are slow to start but the price is right. FWIW, the one I ordered took 8 or 10 weeks to start.

I'm glad someone asked, I've been wondering too what to do with these (apparently useless) points. Maybe I'll try botting the auctions like what ktremor described, but I don't have enough points for most of the current bid amounts.

You can opt out of the tracking -- I did -- and still get points in the program, just fewer of them per month.
