500 points for $5+ Starbucks card

You can get 500 points for buying at least a $10 (as of 3/11) Starbucks e-gift card. Go to Shop -> All Merchants. If you're eligibile for this offer, Starbucks should be listed on the top of the list.

Small MyPoints success story for this same promo: got an email for 500 points for Starbucks card purchase, clicked through for 5 pts and purchased a $10 card to be sent to myself (one of the check boxes allows you to do this). For checkout they allow you to use a registered Starbucks card to buy the new code, and since I go there a lot and I have many registered cards, I selected that.

So I used an old Starbucks card I got as a birthday gift to buy a new email code, which is a wash (spent $10 SBUX credit to buy $10 SBUX credit). And the 500 points credited on MyPoints within 10 seconds. I spent a total of probably 45 seconds on the whole transaction.

I don't know why some people get down on MyPoints. For the savvy user, it's easy, free cash.

A few weeks ago I did the Starbucks promotion and got a $5 e-gift card. When I got the email again today, I didn't read carefully enough, and purchased another $5 card rather than the $10 card the 500 points required. Booo. I get coffee fairly often so I'll probably see if I can do it again.

Funny, I purchased a $5 eGiftcard and got the 500 points. Lucky me!

Well the first promo email I got a couple of weeks ago required the $5 purchase and I did get the 500 points.
This one required a $10 purchase. You're saying you got the points on the promo requiring a $10 purchase?

5 minutes. It's sent pretty much immediately to your email.
The folks at Starbucks offered to transfer the print-out to a real card so I wouldn't lose it.
Also, even though it's a printout, you don't have to use it all in one transaction.

I was able to buy 2 e-gift cards, one by clicking on the email, the other by going to mypoints website. Each got me 500 points. Today, I received a second email on this offer. Since it was a different offer (with a $10 minimum, instead of $5), I thought I could get another 500 points. So, I bought another e-gc, but I didn't get another 500 points. It looks like you can only get a maximum of 2 e-gc.

The $10 email that I got mentions that "Points from this offer may only be earned once." The website now also says (Once) next to Starbucks when I could've sworn it didn't say that before.

Dude --

Perhaps no one has answered your question because the MYPOINTS website specifically states
how long it should take!

Hasn't been tracking it specifically, but it's been about 2 to 4 weeks.
