Dunkin Donuts rewards program
Just received an email today from Dunkin Donuts, about their new rewards program.
We are happy to introduce DD Perks® Rewards, Dunkin's new Loyalty Program. With DD Perks® Rewards, now you can earn unlimited, monthly rewards to use however and wherever you please. It's simple, really. All you have to do is use a registered DD Card at any participating U.S. Dunkin' Donuts and the rewards are yours.
Here's how it works:

Step 1: Register any Dunkin' Donuts Card at dunkindonuts.com.
Step 2: Use your registered DD Card for all purchases at any participating Dunkin' Donuts
How Do I Get My Rewards?
You'll receive your Dunkin' Dollar coupons in the mail by the end of each month following the month the rewards were earned. Make sure your mailing address is up-to-date in your Perks Rewards Profile so you don't miss out.
The more you use your registered DD Card, the more Dunkin' Dollars you'll earn.
Here's how it works:
- Earn $1 Dunkin' Dollar for every $20 you spend on your DD Card in a calendar month
- Earn $2 Dunkin' Dollars for every $20 you spend on your DD Card if your Card Auto-Recharges once within the calendar month.

Is there a way to split the reward coupons? I received a postcard in the mail with three $2 coupons on it. This was convenient because I typically purchase only a medium coffee (~$2.05) so I got three coffees with the coupons and three nickels over three visits. Yesterday a new postcard arrived with a single $4 coupon. So I guess I have to purchase more or forfeit the $1.95 difference.
Now DD sent me an e-mail saying I'm going to get $6 rewards. I hope it's 3x$2, not 1x$6.

Between now and then, you'll continue to earn Dunkin' Dollars on your registered DD Card purchases as you always have.
What isn't changing is your free birthday beverage each year, and the convenience of using your DD Card for all of your Dunkin' purchases. And don't forget, setting up Auto Recharge on your DD Card makes using your card even easier.

Thanks for forwarding that. I do like the program and hope that they will grow it, rather than weakening. The card is quite convenient.
FYI. The $6 in rewards that I spoke of in August arrived in the form of a postcard with three $2 cut-away coupons.

Any news on what's new for the 2012 DD Perks Rewards program?
I stocked up on gift certificates recently. For $12 USD, you get ten coupons for large coffees. I charged a few of those to my DD card, so I'll be getting DD rewards for the certificate purchases :-)
Now I want to know if I should start using the coupons, or hold on to them and use my card.

Hey DD, I'm waiting.
FYI. I called customer service and Dunkin' Donuts still hasn't announced its new perks rewards for 2012. And no dates have been given for the future.
Luckily, I stocked up with gift certificates placed on my rewards card during 2011 so I got some credit on the old plan.
