Been waiting on a Marriott GC promo forever!!!
Scored 2x250, 2x500, 5x100
No luck on the 1000 or 50s kept saying in someones cart.
Not a bad Monday though $2000 for $1600.

Also it says 10 days for shipping.
Last year was this similar.
I have $500 at Marriotts in the next 10 days, and a $1000 stay starting on the 20th. I hope I get them in time.

well, the $1000s were sold out in seconds but I got 6K in 500's and 250's. Which will work better since the next couple months are in the middle of nowheresville with a relatively inexpensive property.
I somehow missed the whole limit "2 orders per card" thing so it was nice having multiple Amex cards to type in...

www.DansDeals.com lists the last 2 weeks mentioned in Hotel Deals Discover America forum: Honors pts for sale 5-2, Wyndham props various on sale- I think it was 5-4, $280 for rndtrip ticket on UA on the 12th among the highlights.

Wk 4 has the Alamo 50$ off for $22.50 if paid w/Amex. Most of the deals are for hotels and have been posted in the that forum. Just wanted to bump this up if anyone was intrst'd in car rentals.

I think the $280 for roundtrip ticket on UA is likely, though not certain, to be 25K United miles. With a 10% discount for Amex, that would be 25K miles for $252. Not bad, but not fantastic either.

Enjoy your day off from Daily Getaways, folks!

this is why i love flyertalk; i'm not sure that i would have discovered this promo without this site! this is perfect timing too because i am looking at 5-8 trips this year...
were the alamo certs offered last year and did anyone use one? i'm just concerned that there may be additional terms and conditions for usage that aren't on the website. i usually rent from alamo when they have their $10 and $20/weekend day rates and i want to ensure i can use the certs for those rentals.

Again, YMMV, but at the least, you are getting $150 off for only $67.50 In my book, that's a pretty good deal.

It's NOT miles. It's an actual certificate. It could be a GREAT deal if you use it at the right time and place. (But there's only 20 available and there are some black out dates)

Any speculation on whether this promo will come back for 2012?
