A pleasant surprise

Back from my recent travels (and off again in a couple of days!) I looked at my bank statement and see €250 has been put in from 'Ryanair DAC EU261 compensation'. Yay!
I sent them a letter 7 weeks ago asking for this as their plane I was on in December was 3h50m late and 3 hours is the limit for this compensation to kick in.
I wrote I'd give them 6 weeks to reply, and would even be happy to accept 'credit/vouchers' for flights on Ryanair, but it looks as if they've decided just to get rid of it in one fell swoop. No e-mails or reply otherwise from them.
I did say that I'd start Small Claims Court proceedings against them if I hadn't heard after 6 weeks.
But the recorded delivery letter cost 19 Euros so I've effectively ended up with €231.
It was really windy/stormy at Stansted for this take off, so the weather was initially 'an issue', and I wouldn't have complained if they'd been even later, but the plane returned to the terminal to have a instrument repaired by a mechanic, and that's what turned it into a "their responsibility".
