verify passport

Much to my regret, I've booked a flight with Ryan Air, LPL to DUB. On their website, I get the attached screen. When I use the QR code, it takes me to the app but with no option to verify my passport. In the app I've manual entered my passport ( Canada) details but I have no idea if that counts as verification. I've been able to print both boarding passes (no mention for a need to verify documents). I can also access both boarding passes on their app, which also show no mention of passport verification.

Anyone have a similar experience to this?

At this point I'm resigned to going to the airport earlier than normal.

I've contacted Ryan Air via chat about this, but I'm close to giving up on getting a straight answer from them.

the vast majority of Ryanair passengers are european - so they try and take the pressure off the gate staff by getting other passports checked at the check in / ticketing desk.

it shouldn't taken long, but definitely worth doing it before going through security - I think they will write something on your boarding pass printout to confirm that they've checked your passport.

I quite like the LPL-DUB route, it's so quick, and LPL is a nice enough little airport ... apart from the Ryanair gate end !
farci likes this.

I have the same issue as I have a non-EU passport.

Flying LGW-DUB and the app says I will have to get my boarding card printed at the airport post document check. Considering its Ryanair, will they charge me for this too?

according to this Ryanair video "as long as you have a restricted boarding pass, you will not be charged at the checkin desk"
