Gift voucher currency question

Hi, I'm buying a Ryanair gift voucher for my partner and can't decide whether it's better to buy it in EUR or GBP (we're British living in Europe so pay both in EUR and GBP from time to time). My question is what is better value for money? It would work out as "more" buying it in GBP than EUR due to the exchange rate, but if we were to book a flight in EUR later, would the currency conversion just mean that it works out evenly? Is Ryanair's conversion such that it would work out being the same value?
I'm not very savvy where exchange rates are concerned and don't want to be had, I'm just wondering whether someone could help/give their opinion! Many thanks in advance!
