Nightmare with Ryanair baggage!

I bought 4 Priority passes to carry on bags
It turns out none of our carry on bags fits their 55x40x20
Can I get refund and pay for checked bags instead?

Any other tips?

No refunds. Find smaller carry on items or pay for the checked luggage.

I wish people would save things like "nightmare" for things that really and truly are nightmares.

In the scheme of life, this is a minor inconvenience. A headache? Of course. But hardly a nightmare.

A plane crash.... That's a nightmare.

...one that could have been avoided by reading Ryanair (other airlines are available) baggage rules

If just exceeding the limits insignificantly, I would take the chance that the gate agents will not notice. My experience with bagback slightly larger than allowed is that no one notice or take action. Of course, if obvious that your carry-on bags exceed the limits, gate agents will make you pay for check-in of the bags (and most likely put them in the hold).
