Still concerned that Ryanair hasn't posted fares on the BUD to WAW route for April. Should I take this as a sign that this route will disappear too? There's a 6 am, 1 stop, Air Berlin flight that I could book but the Ryanair afternoon/direct flight would be much better for us. I just don't want to wait and have the Air Berlin flight book up and see the Ryanair cancelled. Any thoughts?

Ryanair will not be flying to Krakow, Warsaw isn't for sure though its strange that its not loaded.
Wizz will be flying to Warsaw WMI. Though the distance between Hungary and Krakow is the same as the distance between Warsaw and Krakow, the connections are a million times better.

It might be worth it to hire someone just to drive you. I'm guessing it'd be under €300 and take 5 hours (from, for instnace, Miskolc). Maybe motion sickness would also be an issue there, though. You'd get to pass the Tatara mountians.

An other option would be taking the train to Vienna Meidling, transfering to Vienna Airport, and flying direct on Austrian or LOT from there.

Thanks Ofto.

The destination here is actually not Krakow but Chmielnik so if we can get to Warsaw we can take the train down. Our tour guide (for Chmielnik on April 3rd) resides in Krakow so the original plan was for us to get to Krakow on April 2nd, he would drive us to Chmielnik and we would train up to Warsaw late on the 3rd (we're meeting up with a large tour group very early on the 4th).

So far (outside of the Ryanair flight) I think the best option is the Air Berlin flight. Not very convenient (6 am flight time) but still the easiest. Wizzair isn't an option because they don't have a flight on the 2nd.
