Where to claim miles flown on Transaero

Hi.

My friend flew (with his wife and kids) on Transaero. Where would be the best Frequent Flyer program to claim the miles on?

Transaero is partners with a few airlines, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transae...are_agreements).
  • BMI only lets you claim for flights within 28 days (if you're new to BMI's Diamond Club).
  • JAL doesn't show the option to claim a Transaero flight.

Any expirienced with this?

I have credited a number of UN flights to BD over the past few years. Note however that, in light of the acquisition of BD by IAG (parent of BA and IB), BD Diamond Club currently offers limited redemption options, and may soon be disappearing--though from 3 July it will also be possible to transfer miles to BA Executive Club (which may be even better). My UN flights have rarely posted automatically with BD, but mailing photocopies of the BPs usually works fine.

Does UN credit all flights for Diamond Club points or just the LHR-DME flight? It was explained earlier that they don't give status points. Trying to figure out how to get something out of a flight I have to take at the end of this month. It looks like the BMI partnership page is no longer on the UN website.

Historically I have received destination miles (but not status miles) for all flights on UN. I have received both destination and status miles for LHR-DME flights.

Can UN flights still be credited to BD? I have membership in both old BD and BAEC and would be great if I could credit my upcoming UN flights somewhere...

Agree. If one flies higher fare classes, the earnings rates are not bad.
