Value of points

Just checked out of a RC property in the US. It was a 4 night stay with 50k points per night. The cheapest rate i could find (aaa) was around 800 for the same nights. Lo and behold, i ask for the folio to be emailed upon checkout; i get sent two folios. One is the hotel extras. The other one is the stay folio being billed to the rewards program. It is being billed at 158.00 per night and 6.75 in tax. So apparently the actual cpm for the stay was 0.3295. What do you guys think? Anyone had the second “hidden” folio sent to them before?

I think you need to check your math. And your logic.

Math is correct from MR's perspective (though the units are cpp, and not cpm).

However, what the hotel receives from MR should be completely irrelevant to anyone other than those parties.

I think you paid 50k per night for a minimum $800 room. That's 1.6 cpp, which is an excellent MR redemption.

Why would you care what the rewards program paid the hotel? Just cannot see the relevance?
