I'd guess that 70,000 points is what the average RC award night would cost.

For Florida people, Amelia Island should be pretty cheap in the summer if you avoid any periods when they're hosting a meeting.

I live in FL and am getting married at Amelia next fall. The cheapest time to stay here is jan and Feb.

So I got the 20K/40K offer as well. Thing is, cheapest rate I can find is $159 a night which, X 2 nights is $318 before taxes/fees.

Purchasing 20K Marriott points outright will cost me $250 bucks. Not seeing the value here…am I missing something?

WOW. If I knew how to get this promo I'd pronto switch from Marriott to Ritz Carlton and re-boom some of my stays.

Yes, this promotion -- whatever your cast -- is not as good as the past Stay Twice Get 1 Free Night Up to a Tier 3 promotion; however, now Ritz Carltons are subject to BRG claims so you may be able to get one for less than the advertised rate -- this was not the case last year or years earlier.

Yes, but as a ritz card holder, 2 nights per stay is optimal to use certs and get hotel credit unless there is absolutely no use for you to stay at a hotel more than 1 day at a time. I think you might have to book them a specific way though if they are at the same hotel back to back.

"Our records indicate that you are not eligible for the Opportunities Await promotion. "
Guess no love for me. I'll stick with IHG A/RA.

I got the same thing and it was using the link to it from my account page! I'm going to call and see what's up...My account is now a RR account (and has been since last year), so I'm not sure why I would not be eligible.
