Uber and Obi

I (4.98☆) have gotten another "watch it or we will deactivate your account" due to account/password sharing from Uber. I assume this is because I use Obi for comparison shopping. I do like Obi because I spend most of my life outside the US (Grab, Bolt, Careem,, Cabify, Flywheel, Curb, Taxi99) and Obi keeps track of which service, where.

I guess Uber can't bear the thought that Obi might tip me off to a lower Lyft fare in the US....something I can still find by the slightly messier process of opening both apps.

Petty stuff. I bet you can guess which app I will favor in the US now.

Thank you for posting this. I received two of these as well over the past couple of weeks. Thought one of my kids may have logged in to my account but I don't think so. Probably won't give Obi access to my Uber account until I need to use Obi again.

This is because Obi is taking your user session and executing API requests to Uber from their servers and not from your device - this makes Uber bot protection mark your account as suspicious. Try Payfair, it has no such issues.
