Follow up question to those who have used the Uber Ride Pass (with discounts, not flat fare): with the new "dynamic" pricing that Uber uses that determines how much you are willing to pay vs time and distance, do they just incorporate that into the price?
I took a flyer on a new Tampa Bay $9.99 Pass for 28 days, which offers unlimited 15% off rides. My concern is that they just increase the quote and then offer me a 15% "discount" off of that, since they know I have the Pass. Although in theory Uber and Lyft have the same time/distance prices in this market, Uber usually quotes a 5-15% higher price than Lyft on most rides. I fear they will increase them even more just for me.
