Best is definitely Hermolis (BA / AA and many others out of London) and also BA ex SIN/HKG and possibly others in Asia.

BA ex SYD: you get the same snack in F class as in Y class - not cool when you're paying top dollars!

US domestic - no KSMLs at all on AA (except transcon) even in C/F class - and that includes 8+ hour flights to/from HNL (from ORD / DFW).

BA ex JNB used to be really good (J/F class) but has deteriorated very significantly over past 2-3 years. Will be using SAA next time to see if they're any better.

This is what you'll normally get in LH first (or F lounge) for kosher (all freshly prepared in FRA)

or

http://www.sohars-restaurant.de/menu...bmit=W%E4hlen#

and in C

Click on the pictures to enlarge them.

F breakfast is

and on a short hop in European C with a cold meal you'll get

Thumbs down LOT and Czech - Antwerp Kosher Meals

I can't remember the name of the supplier, but on the two occasions I flew these airlines (LOT in December 2004 and Czech in November 2007), they both supplied kosher meals from Antwerp which were - if not halachically, then at least gastronomically - INEDIBLE! Try flying El Al if you're going to Eastern Europe!

Sounds like Stogel, absolutely horrible. IIRC, they used to be Fogel, lol

Flew TK (Turkish) today TLV-IST-JFK, the IST-JFK portion they served something that resembles food that was out of Paris. Turns out theres a special bag under the entree that I was suppose to put the entree into so they can heat it up. They did bring me the tray but never having seen it before didnt know I was supoose to do anything.

Anyway the head FA told me they always put it in the bag before heating it up. So like the Belgium stuff its in a funny vacum packed dish. Turns out its Tuna, looked more like something that a person ate and then threw up. So I decided best to skip to pass on it. When they served the 2nd meal turns out again to be the same thing, I told them them after reading the entrees label, Id rather not eat

Besides this Turkish is my new home for NY-TLV flights. Ill make a report in teh Turkish forum in the next few days

Just returned from a post pesach trip to IAH in CW. Was served Pesach meals in both directions.

On the way out the Hermolis Pesach meal was very good. And there was still a bread supplement!

On the way back we got a Bornsteins meal that was clearly an econmoy meal on plastic, labelled "business class". The crew were clearly unimpressed but not much they could do.

It's always interesting to see how long it takes to clear the Pesach stock.

Had a Stogel meal on BA ex CAI this morning, in the back of the bus, and it was actually really nice. It sounded and looked not-so-wonderful, but taste-wise was fine.

Tuna and egg salad / cream crackers
Meatloaf with Ratatouille and corn / peas
Apple sauce (with strawberry)
Sponge cake and chocolate sauce

Wonders never cease! Obviously not up to Hermolis standards, but 9/10 for a long life meal ^

Just came back to IAH again in BA CW and got a Pesach meal AGAIN. As it was Hermolis it was actually rather nice but hoping to get a "proper" meal on my return to LHR next week.

I'm not a picky eater, and will almost always finish most of the meal given to me, even eggs and dairy (which some people stay away from in kosher meals since it's not fresh). But the furthest i've ever gotten with a stogel meal is a cracker, the cake, the fruit and maybe a bite of each of the others. Maybe they've improved since last year, I don't know.

I'm not too fussy wrt Europe and TLV / CAI. For example, if I'm starting a TLV-LHR-SIN-LHR-TLV ARTIL then I'll be in F class, but if it's just a hop over to TLV for a weekend then it'll probably be a cheapo.

Definitely not worth the miles for CAI in J (80k) vs TLV (40k) and I didn't fancy actually paying for J/F - hence the £280 cheapo in the back of the bus. Got the first row on the way out and a whole row of 4 on the inbound, so it wasn't too bad at all.
