"Gold Points Reward Network is changing to a redemption-only program"
I just received the email below. What exactly does "redemption only program" mean? It initially doesn't sound good to me!!
Thanks......Loomis
Dear Loomis,
We're writing to let you know that Gold Points Reward Network is changing to a redemption-only program.
The last day to earn Gold Points® at network partner locations (including participating Friday's locations) or by shopping goldpoints.com is March 31, 2008.
Please note that your Gold Points will not expire. You may continue to redeem them for Gold Points catalog merchandise and gift cards by visiting goldpoints.com. Learn more. You may also redeem Gold Points at participating Friday's locations for a limited time.
As a valued T.G.I. Friday's® guest, you will receive information about a new Friday's program, bringing great rewards your way in 2008!
Thank you for participating in Gold Points Reward Network.
Sincerely,
Gold Points Reward Network

It says that they're changing to a new program, and our current points won't directly translate to the new program, but we can still use them. If you use your gold points at TGI Fridays, they're apparently only allowing the use of the current points for a limited time. Looks like getting gift certificates and then using them later is the best plan for me.

They already transferred my Goldpoints into my GoldPoints Plus account - can't remember if I asked them to, or if it was automatic.
Did you know it is free to transfer Goldpoints Plus to anyone?
