Club Carlson benefits on PL booking?

Club Carlson benefits on PL booking?
Thank you in advance for any responses. My partner and I traveling to Phoenix from the UK for Christmas, and we decided to use PL bidding, and got a pretty good deal (I am happy enough, really just with that). However my partner has an AMEX Platinum, and is always trying to justify the really high annual fee. So, is it possible to use the Club Carlson Gold benefit on a PL booking? As I said, I am willing to trade them in for a better financial deal, but thought I would have my thoughts that they will not be honoured, on any level, on this type of booking, confirmed. At least I can either have good or bad news in advance for him, with no surprises. Thank you.

I have not used PL for CC, however, even when booking directly through CC I have not received any benefits from CC, despite being GLD. Most hotel programs clearly indicate that to receive benefits, you should book directly through them. I would check the regular room rate and compare the price, if your PL is cheaper, stay with it. In the end, what is it exactly that you want, a clean room to sleep.
