Credit cards,They have promos going on for triple points which can really push the points a long way and try swapping with some of your friends for any other points-ihg/hilton/marriott,all are basically the same value according to what have redeemed for my last 10 redemptions.

The current Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa is currently the best deal of all cards as far as getting enough points for a room with regular spend, not staying at hotels. With 5 points/$, you accrue enough points for a top tier room quicker than other cards, and you get an extra night tacked on to your award stay, so $10 K spend on the card gets you 50K points which can get 2 nights at most of the top tier Radissons. I am not crazy about the Carlson choices, but if they work for you, you should get and use their Visa.

I adore my Carlson Visa, which IMO rivals the Starwood Amex on earning free rooms. Spend $10K to get 50K CC points for a top-end Radisson night + a bonus free night (OK, excluding the few 70K hotels) vs. 10K *wood for an upper-middle Sheraton or Westin. Plus it's usable at millions of merchants that hate Amex! So I use it at merchants that don't earn double points from Chase Sapphire.
