Radisson Blu Ridzene Riga
Booked two nights on cash and points this week, but:
1) Wasn't upgraded to a superior room. When I politely inquired about an upgrade, the front desk attendant pointed at my Gold card and asked:
"With this? It is registered in the system."
2) Hotel looks and feels old.
3) I did get the welcome gift, but it was a rather appalling plate with raisins, almonds, dried berries and banana and a small bottle of water.
4) Room was ok.
5) Breakfast had a vast selection, including brown sauce (having baked beans and no brown sauce makes no sense to me), but although it wasn't bad it wasn't that well prepared either. A little more care in the preparation would do wonders.
So, I decided to save the 40 LVL + 5,000 points (even though the 40 LVL would mean getting back some 2300 points) and move to a cheaper hotel.
