Review: Park Inn & Suites on Broadway, Vancouver

898 West Broadway
Vancouver, BC V5Z1J8
Canada

Dates: May 26-29, 2012
Rate: $135/nt AAA rate
Room: 3rd floor end of hall - #318

Arrived Saturday night. No upgrade given due to the property being sold out due to the Roger Waters concert at BC Place. Hotel is definitely not new and rooms are on the small side. No view rooms have view of parking lot/Vancouver General Hospital. Other side has amazing views of downtown as the hotel is atop a hill. All rooms have balconies.

Wifi signal is pretty good in lobby and rooms, no password needed. Additional computer in lobby if needed. Microwave and fridge provided in-room.

Parking is $15/nt, but I used TransLink. Bus stops right outside the front door (9 and 17). Canada Line Skytrain station is about a 15 minute walk down Broadway (or take the bus and get off at Cambie).

Lots of restaurants nearby but the hotel also has a cafe, pub and liquor store connected. 24 hr Shoppers Drug Mart across the street.

Overall decent place but wouldn't pay more than the discounted rate for a room.

rooms are renovated, with flat screen tv. The staff did minor upgrade for gold status. Just got room with nice view of city.
Bathroom is really small and street noise from west broadway is quite noticeable.
You get nice view but get the noise. If you want a quiet room, the non-view rooms facing opposite side of building might be better.
Computer in lobby, requires credit card payment. Not sure of cost.
Lots of coffee places nearby for breakfast.
Some staff could smile. OK with big discount. Nothing special

The hotel used to be a Ramada Inn. No, it's not new. Maybe only the signage is.
