I stayed at the Radisson Plaza (downtown) last year and was very pleasantly surprised.

Sure, its on not the W or IC (where I spent the majority of my time in SYD), but much better than some of the other Radisson hotels Ive seen, Id say a solid 4* property.

Rooms are modern, some with decent views, staff was very friendly, overall a pretty decent experience.

I have stayed at the Radisson Plaza for a shaort stay and an extended stay. It is in the CBD. It is in the middle of the business district so it is convenient for business. It is also a short walk down to Circular Quay and the Opera House.

The rooms are very comfortable and the property is well maintained. especially considering it is a remodeled historic building.

I would recommend the Radisson Plaza, too for all the reasons stated in the above post. I stayed there a couple times on long weekend trips.

It is a short walk down to Circular Quay and the Opera House area, and up to the QVB section of the CBD. The rooms are comfortable with high a ceiling, and the property is well-maintained and modern within a landmark historic building. The staff is efficient and friendly. The breakfast is good.

Sounds promising. I've got the final night of my honeymoon here next month. The other Sydney nights will have been spent at the IC so I'll try to remember a little TR and a bit of compare and contrast for you.
