Which FFP for LX Flights ???
I'm flying once a month roundtrip on the LHR-EZE special for the next 4 months. With the demise of Qualiflyer I was wondering who is the best FFP to credit my flights to. I figured I will get about 25,000 miles X 4 if posted to my QG acct. My account will be transferred to LH Miles & More at the end of the year. Since I am only a basic Qualiflyer member, should I get Travel Club status after two roundtrips and hope LH will match my status in their program? Or should I post the miles to my AA AAdvantage acct., Finnair, Iberia, S.African, or Malaysian accts.? Maybe some airlines are giving double miles for Swiss Biz. flights ?
Thanks for the help. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I would do Qualiflyer, because of ETKT bonuses and Travelclub bonus. Why don't you call Swiss and tell them you'll be flying 4 times to EZE in C-Class, which is roughly 25'000 club miles, and ask them to send you gold status or at least normal Travelclub right away. They did that for me when I switched to old SR.

I called Qualiflyer and told the agent about my upcoming 4 Biz. class flights LHR-EZE and my Elite status on a few other airlines and she was not impressed. I was told Qualiflyer only awards Travel Club status after flying the required flights or possibly if you work for a large corporation.
Maybe I should call Qualiflyer in Switzerland?

Yes I think you should call Qualiflyer in Switzerland.
The Zurich desk is very helpfull. Tell them about your situation and the will surely give you at least the Travel club before your first flight.
Also if you have Travel Club you get 2000 bonus miles for every 10'000 club miles and when you get to Travel club Gild you ll get 3000 bonus miles for every 10'000 club miles. Not a bad deal.... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
Remember that I you fly 4 times LHR to EZE in C-class you will get 100'000 club miles that means Travel Club Gold (70'000 club miles after 3 runs).

Well I tried the US and Switzerland QG customer service centers and both wouldn't budge on granting travel club status. Oh well, guess I'll just have to suffer in Business http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
