Where did you see this promotion?

Is it only in Belgium? I can not find it anywhere.

Please give us a link.

Thanks.

It is mentioned on my Amex-invoice, do not know if it is only in Belgium,
I called the Amex membership rewards desk and they told me that it is a promotion run by Qualiflyer , so i guess it will not only be limited to Belgium.

This may be like the starwood promotion whereby starwood sent normal points to Qulaiflyer who doubled them when converting.

Would be nice if a UK Amex holder (like me) can use this too!

I got it in my statement as well: (sorry, German!)

"Das Vielfliegerprogramm von Qualiflyer wird zehn Jahre alt und Sie haben allen Grund zum Ferien: Für jeden Membership Rewards Punkt erhalten Sie jetzt zwei Qualiflyer Meilen, d.h. doppelt so viel wie sonst. Sie wissen ja - regulär entspricht ein Membership Rewards Punkt einer Qualiflyer Meile."

You must transfer the Membership Rewards points at least 20 days before you plan to travel, the point transfer will take 14 working days.

Offer is good between August 1 and 31 October 31, 2002.

On my german Amex invoices received today nothing is mentioned about the promo. But in the flyer that came with them ("current MR offers fall 2002") the offer is described exactly the way beepee mentioned. So I guess it's really open to every MR member (at least if we look at the european program).

Interesting enough, they now mention that the transfer will take 14 days, which would be a 100% improvement to my last transfer.

For German members, who want to read it online:

http://www10.americanexpress.com/sif...1,10847,00.asp

Other members, check your local site: amex mr-> what's new / ofertas especiales etc.

AMEX UK: does not advertise this offer
AMEX ES: sí

Thanks Michili.

For the Swiss Members:

http://americanexpress.ch/f/personal...ualiflyer.html

2 points Membership Rewards = 2 miles Qualiflyer from August 1st to October 31.

This is a very good news...

The rate is now 1:1 or (2:2) from August 1st until October 31 2002. Normaly is 2:1.

It is good news. For Swiss base people it means you spent 1 CHF and you get 1 Qualiflyer Bonus miles. Before is was 2 CHF for 1 Bonus miles.

If you want to get some awards flight on Qualiflyer and have points I think that is worth.

yes, you are right.
1 MR = 2 Qualifier
2 EUR = 2 Qualifier
