Referring to Qualiflyer, elite membership status in this FFP does not give you access to AAs Admirals Club. Referring to your AA-ticket, access is available for Club members and oneworld Emerald (eg AA Executive Platinum) and Sapphire members (eg AA Platnum) when travelling on an international flight.

Access to AA Admiral Club: LX has an agreement for his F- and C-Class international passenger with an onward connection on AA with LX flight number on the same day or before 6am on the following day.

I wanted to use this agreement last week in ORD, having an onward flight in SWISS C class. The agent at the AAdmirals Club told me that the agreement would only be good for JFK and DFW but not ORD. She was very friendly and apologized for the confusion, but did not let me in.

Thank you for the info

i guess the AA-rules will apply:

On the day of an international departure on any one world airline, you get access to the AAdmiral's club if you
a) Are an AAdmiral's club member
b) Are PLT (One World Saphire) or EXP (One World Emerald)
c) Are traveling on Biz or FC on the int'l portion of the day's itinerary

You get access to the Flagship Lounge (or other One World FC lounge) on day of int'l departure if

a) You are traveling in FC on the int'l portion of the day's itinerary
b) You are EXP (or other One World Emerald)

When flying on American Airlines, how you got a business class boarding pass has NO BEARING AT ALL on lounge access or anything else. Paid full J, used miles to upgrade, or operational upgrade -- all get you the same boarding pass, and the same lounge access rights. All that matters is that you're flying in Biz class.

From qualilfyer.com:

American Airlines Admirals Club. You can enjoy access here, provided that:

You have a First Class or Business Class ticket or boarding card for an international departure or onward connection on SWISS or SN Brussels Airlines.
You are departing on the same day or before 6am on the following day.

Patron, that was exactly the rule I was quoting when asking for access. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

I know, that you are familiar with terms and conditions, AirOli; but we know, that not every "customer special service employee" is as competent as you! And the time is against us (=hopefully our flight departs).

BTW, I had the same experience than you (two times!).
