Best Use of Miles In QG Program
I am a relatively new member of Qualiflyer and transferred in a small boat load of points from Starwood. Anyone have any useful tips for getting the most bang for my QG miles? I noticed AA from the US to Hawaii or Alaska is only 30,000 points as well as the Caribbean. Also the inter-Europe C class 25,000 award looks like a real bargain as well. Any others?

As every fare is upgradeable, it maybe on useful alternative to upgrade a discounted transatlantic coach class ticket for 25.000 Qualiflyer miles (one way).

"Every award ticket can include up to 8 segments"
And how many stopovers? Every award ticket, even nonqualifyer?

In January I did the Qualiflyer promo mileage run : Five times BSL-BRN in C-class for 705 all-in. As a result Qualiflyer credited 301,500 award miles to my account ( 0.0023 per award mile).
Recently I flew Europe - Hawaii in First for 165,000 Qualiflyer miles return, i.e. at a cost of 443 tax included. I found ZRH - LAX on Swiss in First already worth it. Excellent service! Compared to Swiss the segment LAX - Hawaii on AA was a nightmare : flight attendants not only ugly and outdated as on most US carriers, but more annoyingly AA staff provided bad service.

AirOli quoted: Every award ticket can include up to 8 segments. Sergio asked: And how many stopovers? Every award ticket, even non-Qualiflyer?
You can interrupt your round trip flight once - either on the outward or return flight. The final destination and changing flights within 24 hours does not count as a stopover. In general bear in mind that if you would like to fly more than once to the same destination you need a second ticket (Side trip rule).
Free Tickets are available for travel on all Qualiflyer airlines and Qualiflyer Partner airlines. Flights on Qualiflyer airlines (including Turkish Airlines and PGA-Portuglia Airlines) can be combined with flights on American Airlines, Finnair, Ukraine International Airlines and South African Airways.
A couple of days ago LHR/MEL/Europe FF (Wynand) came up with a very interested thread www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum40/HTML/000687.html which could be interesting for you.
