SWISS emessaging

I was on the swiss site and read this "e>messaging"

On A330 aircraft you can now send short text messages to any e-mail, mobile phone or fax number worldwide.

Can someone tell me what this actually means? Can I email on my flight one - way?

It means that from your IFE screen on the A330, and for a fee of $2 or so, you can send messages of up to 160 characters to any email address, mobile phone or fax machine. But typing in the text with the handset is an effort I'd rather not take.
