Boarding pass

Recently, I took what was an unusually long flight for me (Hong Kong - London) on Singapore Airlines. A few months earlier, I had registered with Qualiflyer. I checked with the information they had given me on registration, which stated that SQ was included in the scheme, and so I mailed my boarding pass off to them so that the miles could be credited to me.

At the end of the year, I received my Qualiflyer statement, and was disappointed to find that no credit had been given because SQ was no longer a Qualiflyer partner. Although their conditions clearly state that boarding passes can never be returned, I really feel that since they were unable to credit mine, and had not done anything about advising me of the change in the period since I had joined their scheme, they should at least have returned my boarding pass at the time so that I could have used it in a different FF program.

So, do I have any redress? Any suggestions from anyone please? Or should I just advise you all to do all your travel on Star Alliance instead?

If you do not want to give away your original boarding pass (I never do), just send them a copy. They have accepted it every time I did so.
