Hard Seats
Normally I fly Europe - USA with AA in Business Class, but in November I travelled Brussels-Dallas and ORD-Brussels with Sabena, both legs economy and both in Airbus A330.I found the seats to be hard as rocks and could not sleep! Also, what is seat pitch?I'm a little guy and felt cramped so God help you big guys!Or maybe I've been spoilt by AA and Boeing!

reading your post it looks to me as if you compare AA-business with Sabena-eco.
My guess is that you would argue very differently if you would compare Sabena-business with AA-eco?

Spoiled by Boeing??? Besides the 777 no other plane in the AA fleet comes close to offering the comfort that airbus provides. In general, Airbus planes are more comfortable than their boeing counterpart, but up until now have lacked techinal specs to make them more profitable.

Th@LYS - There is a huge difference between the width and height of the 777 and the A330/340. This causes the airlines to compromise on seat width. I flew SR 330 connecting to AA 777 a few weeks ago and there is no doubt, the 777 is much roomier and the seats are better. and you would agree with me that SR is a better airline than AA ...

Thanks for your comments guys;my main gripe is still that the seat cushion in the A330 seat was like a board and was extremely uncomfortable.Recently on Sabena again, and again in economy on a 2 hour intra European flight on a 737 I found the seats really comfortable. So what's gone wrong in the A330 and especially for a 10 hour flight?
