DOH-CAI-DOH Constant Equipment Swaps - When is it finalized?
I've noticed my flights next month have had multiple equipment swaps since I booked the flights. The outbound DOH-CAI is now an A320 and the return is a 772LR.
Instead of chasing this each time the equipment changes and selecting seats again, is there some known process by which point QR will no longer be changing the equipment operating the flights?
They're relatively short flights so not a huge issue, but still good to know where I'll end up on which plane.

Yeah I have had 787 goto A320 day of departure. Sadly common issue at QR. Note, it'll be lie flat A320 for CAI at least.

They are very ‘flexible’ with plane choice for Middle Eastern flights, which helpfully does add capacity when needed, but does frequently mean you don’t know what plane you get until you get on it!

My A359 has just swapped to an ex-Virgin Australia 777...albeit the J seat is still pretty comfortable.

Well at least it's not as bad as RJ who subs in an A320 with an all economy configuration and sells the first few rows as "business class", Euro Business configuration but without a dividing curtain. QR will always at least give you a real business class seat.

What makes this a bit annoying is that there's no consistent seat to select that'll make sense across the equipment swaps. I'm traveling with my SO and if we get swapped to an A320, would prefer that we are together. However it doesn't seem that selecting either AC or DF correlates well to a swap a widebody and vice-versa.
