Flights moved to DIA

Due to the world cup many flights are being moved from DOH to DIA to relieve pressure on DOH. Any update on what to expect at DIA which must be basic? E.g. lounge.

If DIA means the old airport before Hamad opened, there was a completely separate terminal there for First and Business passengers. Some still reminisce wistfully...

But I don't know what state the facilities there might be in these days. No doubt both the State of Qatar and QR themselves will be wanting to make sure they give all of the likely first time visitors a good impression though.

Where have you seen this? Will it be certain types of flights using that airport? (eg. charters,)

Scheduled. Starting in a couple of days, apparently, according to this filing by Etihad:

Looks to be seasonal, to cope with World Cup traffic?

If I am flying to DOH and flying out of DIA that means I have to now get a COVID test to enter Qatar then go to the other airport in order to make my flight? Any word on if there will be a clean airside transfer shuttle?

One or two tickets? You could come unstick here - you need a football fan pass to enter Qatar I believe - assuming you are travelling when entry is restricted.

Am I allowed to have turn-arounds through DIA? Planning to fly Jazeera Airways to DOH only to experience the old DIA (to relive my childhood nostalgia ig?).
