Preselect meal option not working?

Preselect meal option not working?
My booking indicates that I can preselect a meal OR choose a special meal. The only meals that appear however, are special meals. Is there any way to see the menu for the flight (in 5 days) even if I can't preselect the main?

The "feature" seems broken more than it works - however I've never had a problem getting my choice (with limited experience). I've never had it work - I did try selecting Hindu for a short leg - it was awful! Any resemblance to anything Indian was absent (well except the rice was good)- they were happy to give me something from the regular menu when they saw I didn't like it.

I was able to choose the pre-select dining option on a recent DOH-FRA flight which I did but when the FA came around to take the orders she wasn't aware about my choice or that I even made a choice in the first place. My choice was available anyway so it became a no issue.

I have an upcoming flight on Friday and was able to pre-select my meal from 14 days out, so unless it has been discontinued in the past 2 weeks, it still seems to be available. Will report back on whether the FAs are actually aware of my choice, as I see someone above has said they weren't on their flight.
