Can Qatar link bookings for 1 leg?

Can Qatar link bookings for 1 leg?
I'm buying a 1-way ticket with relatives buying a return on a separate booking. Since I'm gold (Qantas) and am able to select the upstairs area on the A380, I was wondering is it possible for Qatar to link our bookings, on the one leg there? Or possibly set their seats next to mine?
