Yep, had this earlier in the year on EDI-DOH.

No rosé at all, so I had a white champagne on the ground - and when they came round (still on the ground) to take food/drink orders for after take-off, all the champagne had already gone!

Thankfully a rare occurrence in my experience though.

So really the incoming crew should have been told that a minimum of x rose and x champagne should remain unopened for the departing flight.

Sorry Sir Platinum member, all the rose Champagne has been drunk!
This added to a very poor sector with stale bread, and only being asked once in 7 hour flight if I wanted anything!
Well at least my second sector to Birmingham went well!
Bread has never been strong for QR, sometimes I find the Y class 'infused focaccia' better

For me the bubbles are meh at best in J, so I always skip it. Could careless if they run out until they start serving real bubbles that taste good. Headed to CPT from US next week and will be Pom and the Duck I bet--junk.

Straight to wine or cocktails.

Always do--buy does me no good on board

AS is always worth it to me for a few glasses of the good stuff. They also had some serious 'hidden' Bordeaux the last time in.
