ExpertFlyer now showing U class availability

I don’t know if that’s just a temporary fortunate glitch and if it’s accurate but it might help us to find biz award and upgrade space more efficiently.
Z class (first award/upgrade) and X class (some eco awards book in X, others in O) still not available.

A sign that QR is going to add commercial fares in U class (like AF/ KL and others did already for their award inventory)?

Most likely not. EF used to show MH's P/U/X on flight availability (U/X is not visible anymore in flight availability, P is a revenue code). EF shows P/U/Z/X for QF.

EF shows what airlines want GDS to show (to agents, to allied airlines they normally show more). If they do it then probably there is a reason. As agents are not permitted to book award inventory it might mean they will introduce paid fares in same intentory. Just a guess.
