I have also commented on the FB page and await a response.
QR have now tweeted to me that the service is only planned from LGW until 28 October.

No answer on the "sale " fares so .....caveat emptor.

I wonder if it’s just to use up some of BAs excess LGW slots.

isn't the A340 hanging around the BKK route somewhere? I'm on it in June.

Sitting in a 2 of the 2-4-2 is the best of them all.

Yes, I agree it's the best if you are in Y. But I'm flying in J, so the 340 is pretty much the worst for me.

I could almost forgive the enhancements but let's look at the bigger picture especially if travelling in the back

nearly impossible to book Y saver outside the prono code buckets and if you can find Q or N it's at a very high price

awful choice of equipment looking at November onwards on DOH BKK no 380 and choice of 777 ( space saving config lol)
787
and 340

add the removal of the premium lounge access it's not an attractive package

o checked EK for my November trip very clear fare buckets so the Y flex which I think is a similar bucket to QR saver but very clearly displayed mileage and upgrade details

and all 380 service which is very acceptable in Y as far as I'm aware nearly all DXB BKK is on the 380 except for one 777

and year round LGW service which is a non stop train service for me

i see. Well in that case you’d be gunning for a 777.

No, I prefer the 380 and 787. The older 777's aren't that nice IMO.

Heads up to anyone flying QR331: check for cancellation!
Our QR331 DOH to LGW dept 15:40 this june has been cancelled. We've had to reroute to LHR. First time flying on QR so slightly disappointed. LGW is so much nearer to where we live than LHR.
The positive is that the LHR flight is currently scheduled to be an A350-1000 qsuites which will be a first for us. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

LHR also has a significantly better lounge experience which should help make up for the inconvenience! Enjoy!
