Complimentary 12 Mo Extension of Gold Status
In February 2017 I earned Gold Status with QR. In June 2017 QR stopped flying to the country of my residence (Yes, we all know which country and the reason, but I do not want to interject any politics in this tread).
A couple of days ago I received an email from QR announcing that in light of the suspension of flights to the country of my residence, my QR Privilege Gold Status would be extended for 12 additional months or to about February 2019.
While flying on QR from my country of residence is currently impossible, do you wise QR FT Sages believe that there will be any issues with other One World Members (i.e. RJ, BA, AA) honoring my QR Gold Status during 2018 ?

I don't see why there should be issues. QR says "this guy has Gold status with us until 2019" and the system should print out your correct status with every other OW airline.

Thank you for your speedy replies !!! I was shocked at the complimentary 12 month extension of Gold Status. It is one of the nicest comps I have ever received from any airline.
