in relation to my previous posts regarding DOH-AKL flights on B772, I'd like to mention only that I ended up with WAW-DOH-PVG in J in late October and return in beginning of November.
As far as I understand, there's a chance that flights on route DOH-PVG-DOH will be equipped with new J seats (although, of course, I know it's impossible to predict it now). On basis of what factors do they decide which routes will be serviced by planes with new seats? How high (or low) is possibility that PVG will be one of first airports to receive new J seats? |

Thanks for good news :-)
WAW-DOH in A350 would be great! I haven't heard about it earlier. We'll see... |
@N1 Rotate-Seems they are planning to open so many routes if they are getting 787-9 from 2018. What do you think how they are going to solve problem with being short of 777-200 LR? Because cities like Santiago and Las Vegas can be served only with 777-200. They should have ordered 777-200 LR instead of 777-300 ER

The 8 March 2017 now appears to be confirmed as the launch date according to http://www.qatarairways.com/english_...lease_itb_eng1.
Does anyone know the contents of the patents? |

In my opion QR will start with premium routes like Doha-London,Doha-Paris and Doha-New York. After most probably turn will come to PEK and PVG. So the possibility is quite high. Also there is small chance that WAW may get A350 by october

fgirard welcome to the QR forum.
According to the known plans the B777s will be the first aircraft type to be retrofitted with the new seats at the rate of two or three a month. New aircraft deliveries after 8 March are also supposed to be delivered with the new seat. A small number of A350s are due to be delivered this year supposedly with the new seat. If they will be used on DOH-SIN is not known. So the answer to your question is NO ONE KNOWS! |

So I'll know if the a/c has the new seat once boarded in DOH. :D :p ETA: It took forever for UA to a) announce that they were developing a new C product and b) show us all the design of the seat. |
